Design Process Overview

The Size of Ecommerce
The main factors that will drive international ECommerce growth over the coming years will be the dramatic increase in the number of people buying online, the increase in the size of online transactions, and the acceptance of the Web as an important business vehicle, according to the report.
The Peppers and Rogers Group predicts that by 2010, an estimated 29 million households in the US will be heavy users of business-to-consumer ECommerce. This compares to just 6 million households in 1998. The report estimates that between 10 and 24 percent of retail sales will be made directly and delivered to the consumer.
As the number of households making direct-to-consumer purchases via the new media, the number of purchases made via the off-line media will decrease. The report estimates that while 67 percent of US households currently use off-line services, this will drop to 50 percent by 2010. In the same time the number of households using online media to make direct purchases will increase from 11 percent today, to 33 percent in 2010.
The study also found that the typical business-to-consumer shopper is better educated and in a higher income bracket than other consumers. Further, to effectively reach these consumes, businesses will need to develop a one-to-one service, building a solid profile of the consumer that can be applied across the various media.

We strive for excellence in everything that we do. We're committed to the concept that the Internet is a constantly evolving communications platform. As it continues to mature, traditional business models will have to be adapted to include its growing importance as a vehicle for providing services to customers, sales outlets, and opportunities for interaction. Striving for excellence in website design, book publishing, printing and business graphic design services
Some have heralded the demise of the printed word, but, to quote Mark Twain, "The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated." The printed word is still going strong and we expect a renaissance in reading and writing over the next several years. We're eager to help people present their stories in a professional, exciting format.
We work closely with our clients to help them maximize their investments in these evolving mediums. For some businesses, that means starting small with a "brochure" web site, then growing services as their traffic and sales grow. For other businesses, it means developing a web site that can compliment existing activities by lead generation, customer support and follow-up sales. For authors, it means being part of their team as they work to move their visions into print.
For your website, we draw on a wide variety of resources and software tools to complete your project in a timely and professional manner.
1. We’ll complete your site on schedule and guarantee 100% satisfaction.
2. We can offer the services of a Marketing Strategist with thirty years of developing successful programs.
3. Our Reciprocal Link Generation program is a unique service that will significantly increase your site traffic and improve your search engine rankings.
4. We can be your partner in establishing a presence on the internet with support and advice on hosting services, submission techniques, building traffic, analyzing your traffic logs, and developing features and content that will help you realize your Internet goals.
Our firm commitment to high quality standards drives us to give more to each project than we've been asked, to excel at meeting the needs of our clients.
The key components of any web site are:
1. Purpose and intended audience
2. Artistic design and consistency throughout the site
3. Page Content (Who, What, Where, Why, When, How Much)
4. Graphic Elements (Photos, Drawings, Navigation Buttons, Animations)
5. Contact Methods
Each web site design project we complete defines and establishes these key components effectively to meet your needs.
In the typical hpdDesign website, the client provides the site content and photos, with assistance from us in formatting the content for its best possible presentation on the Internet. However, we are able to provide a full range of professional services, including product photographs, marketing plans and full content development.
All site designs include artistic design, installation of the web pages on the selected host service, content formatting recommendations, unique rollover button designs, image swaps, and outbound links as requested. We also include the development of title, description and keyword Meta tags.
All design fees are based on a process that includes client approval at each stage of development. Excessive revision can result in added development costs.
As additional services, we can offer management of your web site hosting, search engine submissions, web site optimization for search engine indexing, database design, domain name search and registration, reciprocal link generation programs, content development and other web site elements. For more details, see the Design Options section.
